front shock set (Box 3): Koni shock, 500 lb spring, spring hat, spring seat, threaded sleeve, Delrin washer, snap ring per side

Each is built off the car. Start by threading the set screw into the spring seat. Then screw the spring seat onto the threaded sleeve toward the unthreaded end. Slide the sleeve over the body of the shock — unthreaded end first — so it seats against the snap ring on the shock body.
The bumper end of the shock shaft carries a rubber bump stop; slide that bumper about 2 inches down from the rod end. Smear a thin film of white lithium or chassis grease on one side of the Delrin washer, place it grease-side-down on the spring seat. Drop the spring onto the shock, top it with the spring hat, then rotate the spring seat up the sleeve until the spring pushes the hat firmly against the end of the shock.
Install the snap ring on the spring hat. Important: rotate it so the SLOT in the snap ring is not aligned with the slot in the spring hat — if they align the ring can back out. Double-check that the jam nut under the rod end is tight before setting the assembly aside.
For reference: front shocks are pre-valved for street use with 500 lb springs. Rebound usually ships set to the lowest position, which is the right starting point with standard springs. Extended shock length is 15.15" center-to-center (2.50" shorter than the rear solid axle shocks, so do not mix them up).
