Watch out

The four end clips look identical until you compare them — they actually have a long tab and a short tab. Long tab always faces OUT. Easy to install one flipped.

The caliper bracket (the "hanger") needs six small steel clips installed before pads can go in. They let the pads slide freely against polished steel instead of grinding against the cast iron bracket.
Four clips go at the corners of the bracket — one at each end of each pad slot. Those four are directional: the long tab on each one faces OUTWARD (away from the bracket).
The remaining two clips go in the center, one on each side. Insert each center clip from the INSIDE of the caliper through the large center hole, with its larger tab facing the pistons. Then press down on the outer leg of the clip until the smaller tab snaps through the hole and locks the clip in place. With all six clips in, the bracket is ready for pads.
