Watch out

The screws under the oil cooler opening are easy to miss because you have to be under the car to see them. Walk the full underside with a flashlight before you call it done.

With doors, hood, and trunk off, the body shell is held to the chassis by bolts along the underside. Working under the car, find the body-side bolts where the lower edge of the body meets the chassis rails, and remove them all on both sides.
Next, unbolt the at the front of the body and the small nose screws under the oil cooler opening. With those out the shell is loose — but do not lift it yet. The next step is the lift itself, and it is a three-person job.
