Watch out

Dry slider pins will bind once the caliper sees heat from real braking. The grease is supplied for a reason — use it.

Slide each slider pin partway out of its bore and apply a film of the supplied slide-pin grease along its length. Push the caliper bracket onto the caliper so the slider pins pass through the bracket's mounting bosses.
Finish by pushing the rubber boots forward, over the lip on the caliper bracket, until they seal the slider pin bores on both ends. With the boots seated, the pins are sealed and ready for service.
