Install the caliper slider pins and grease boots

Watch out
The slider pin bolts look small but they hold the whole caliper together. Forgetting to torque them is easy because the wrenches are awkward — use the torque wrench, not the feel of your hand.

  • 16mm wrench
  • torque wrench
Parts from your kit
  • front brakes (Box 18): caliper slider pins, supplied bolts, rubber grease boots
  • (4) M12 x 35mm 12-point bolts (Box 21)

    Use 16mm wrench on the slider pin and 12mm socket on the bolt.
