Watch out

The DSS / PSS stamps are deceiving on the Roadster. If you read them at face value and bolt the to the stamped side, you have it backwards. Right side = DSS-stamped ; left side = PSS-stamped .

Before mounting, verify that the rubber grease boot is properly seated on the lower stud. Then lower the onto the stud.
Slide the Factory Five part 15803 countersunk spacer over the stud, under where the will go. There is a small taper on the inside edge of the spacer — the taper faces DOWN toward the . Spin the on by hand, then torque to 108-122 (80-90 ). Align the slot in the nut with the cross-hole in the stud and install the , bending the legs over to lock it.
If the hub does not seat onto the on the next step, a light tap with a rubber mallet gets it there — never hammer steel-on-steel.
One critical orientation note: the are stamped "DSS" (Driver Side ) and "PSS" (Passenger Side ). Those marks are for a different Factory Five product — the Hot Rod, which is REAR steer. The Roadster is FRONT steer, so the install on the OPPOSITE side from their stamps. DSS goes on the RIGHT side of the Roadster; PSS goes on the LEFT.
